Corporate Vegan Wins & Misses: Lessons from 2020–2025 with Michael Bilotich
In this event, we looked candidly at the ‘wins’ and ‘losses’ of the last 5 years, focusing on vegan efforts in corporations. Using catchy visuals and entertaining examples, we shared insights that you can use in everyday plant-based pitches, innocent conversations, projects, or other ways to help the corporate vegan movement.
Vegan Dilemmas in the Workplace
Being vegan at work can be complicated. This session was hosted to help our members navigate this reality and deal with daily dilemmas they may face. So let’s dig into challenges like changing event menus, pitching plant-based initiatives, or just trying not to feel isolated.
How to Make your Workplace More Vegan, One Initiative at a Time
At VLCM, we’re always thinking of new ways to empower our members. In this video, we discuss how anyone can make a difference in the workplace as a vegan and explain how to avoid common pitfalls and setbacks.
Switching to a Vegan Job
“If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.” That’s how the old saying goes. But what if “what you do” doesn’t align with your values? Many vegans in the workforce kick themselves for spending so many hours at the desk while animals, the planet, and the diets of our loved ones suffer. Getting a vegan job may seem like a rare privilege for the most righteous activists, but our three VCLM members prove this isn’t the case. Check out this video for concrete steps to landing your vegan job.
Building Your Vegan Employee Network
Want to feel less alone as a vegan at work? Ready to take action but not sure where to start? This video offers a step-by-step blueprint for finding other vegans inside your company and turning that loose network into a formal group. Use these proven tips to forge a community wich can support new initiatives and make change in the workplace.
Influencing Politics
Here at VLCM, we equip our members to make change within the corporate world, but we don’t want the world of politics to go unnoticed. Politicians, voters, and lobbyists are closely linked to the corporate world and making change within a corporation is not too different from making change within a government.
Influencing Healthcare
Healthcare is one of the most challenging arenas to shift, yet also among the most critical. While the science supporting plant-based nutrition continues to grow, many healthcare professionals still don’t include diet in treatment or prevention discussions. This session explores why that gap exists and how vegans, whether patients or medical professionals, can help change it from within.
Activism On The Side
Do you ever want to get involved in a cause outside of work, but feel like you don’t have the time or energy? You’re in the right place. Join this VLCM Livecast to learn how vegans can balance their full-time job with impactful activism.
The Power of Subtle Influence
This session from Vegan Leaders takes a refreshing turn away from big campaigns or public activism. Instead, our team guides us into the quieter, slower, and often more effective world of subtle influence, especially in professional environments where being openly vegan can feel like a scarlet letter.
